At the end of the weekend at my relatives, I don't want to go back to the family I work for. Instead of love, I feel...repulsion, in a small degree. That's so wrong...my heart is not like Jesus's if I can't love them. I want to always be able to love people, especially the ones God specifically brings into my life.

But it does make me appreciate the atmosphere of Christian fellowship. I may not agree with all Christians or churches, but comparatively speaking, I am grateful.

Darkness makes the light shine brighter.

Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

Sorry I haven't written...I don't have a lot of time here, yet. I don't want to be the nanny that's always on the computer. It's going alright. I like my family here. The dad said a lot of things during the first day...taunts, sarcastic but not cruel, about religion and what I believe and the Bible and stuff. Testing me. Seeing how I'd react. I found him surprised that a homeschooled Christian from South Dakota could be so "open minded and liberal", in his words.

I pray for them a lot. I think I'll love them. Just won't always be easy.

"Are we going to get sermons?" The dad of the family I'll be nannying for asked me. They've never known someone who has done "three years of Christian college" before.
I didn't attempt to explain 'discipleship training'.

They already know I'm a Christian. I won't have to say a word.

They'll be watching...

nerve-wracking?

The last two days before you take leave for good are always peculiar.

I'm off to create for myself yet another 'home'... it's sort-of a hobby. "Nice stamp collection, want to see my home collection?"

"You can have both roots and wings".
The wings are never wings for long before they sprout roots...

and then you begin it all over again.

endless goodbyes...endlessly fly...

Pennsylvania.
Tuesday.
When I first left three years ago, I didn't realize that once began this goodbye wouldn't end.

Probably the funniest thing there is to a shark, is a wounded seal trying to swim to shore. Because, where does he think he's going?

I'm not actually lost.
Just temporarily vague about my position.
No cause for alarm.

Ten minutes. To most of us, ten minutes seems like a very brief period of time. Not long enough to do much of anything. However, ten minutes is ample time for a shower. A steak can usually be barbecued in ten minutes or less. And a healthy person can easily walk more than half a mile in ten minutes. At freeway speeds, ten minutes can take you more than ten miles.

But try waiting alone on a street corner in the middle of the night, and you'll discover that ten minutes can seem like a long, long time.

I don't know if I like it.
Blogskins suddenly decided to become under construction, so my skins search ended abruptly.
It's a pity if I decide I don't like it, because I spent quite a lot of time customizing it.

I still hope for Pennsylvania soon.
